Hair problem...help!!!?

i have always had long, thick, luscious shiny hair. i have had light/dark blonde highlights put in several times but my hair was still healthy. two months back i decided to get platinum blonde highlights from this hair salon which looked very good/expensive. i have no idea what type of dye the stylist used but alot of my hair fell and became dry, brittle and dull.I wanted to sue that stylist becuase i was devasted but i did not. Its been 2 months now and my hair texture and length has still not improved. What should i do? will my hair ever grow back to its original length? I am so worried it wont and that freaks me out. I am only 26. Please tell me what products to use/not use...etc etc. I will do anything to get my hair back!!
