What should I do about my boyfriend?

Personally, I think it sounds like a dead end. Dating is for figuring out if you are compatible for the long run, and it sounds like the romance is already dead. He doesn't seem willing to put in the work necessary for keeping the relationship going, and he's making excuses constantly so that it doesn't seem like it's his fault. You're obviously unhappy. I see nothing here to hint that things might get better. Break it off and free up your time for a guy who will adore you.
