My shy pleco?

I wouldn't recommend bog wood if you're looking for something the Pleco can suck on (Clowns actually digest the wood as well), as this is considerably harder than other types. If possible, try to find some Malaysian or South American driftwood, which is much softer as it has already been subjected to fully aquatic conditions. Petco has begun selling quite nice little pre-soaked pieces of this kind of wood, and that is what I'd suggest getting for your Pleco.
