Interior design delema!!?

i have a project for my interior design cl, and i have to basically design a home with the color that the teacher gave me. the color is Green-yellow, and the home has to be contemporary styled. I want it to be island themed, and have a deep shade of pink for an accent color and a tan neutral color. i want light bamboo floors and i have a rug sample that's my shade of green. what color should the sofa and the walls be? the fabrics i have for pillows have patterns so the sofa has to be a solid, and i kind of wanted the walls to be green, but then is that to much green? also i have this great tropical print upholstery fabric, but i don't know what to do with it because i can't have a patterned couch. help!
