Barefoot sports venues?

Have you ever been to a major sports venue barefoot? If you are a parent would you let your children go barefoot or do you? I am 15 and in the past few weeks i have caught the train into the city (Melbourne) and gone to the MCG barefoot, not even bothering to take any shoes with me.
