My lawn mower cord wont pull?

ok so i just got this new murry mower with a briggs and straton motor,i used it 5 times,yesterday i ran over a stump i didnt know was there,the thing just stopped,i can see the blade was bent so i removed it and bent it back in place,as good as i think i can get without a new one,yet the pull cord wont move,i took the flywheel off and inspected the key pin,and it looks fine,i reinstalled it(its not exacly the same thickness as the key slot ,theres a little play in it,but looked good,so i reinstalled but still wont pull,when i do it by hand from the blade it turns but not easy,yes the brakes are off,what could it be?i dont get any metal noise but i do get gurgleinging and oil came out the muffler, i removed the plug and still same thing,?
