What can i soak small game in when i shoot it?

i was thinking of keeping some mesquite marrinade and/or tabasco sauce in zip loc bags inside my backpack so i could spend the day walking around bow hunting and pre-soak what i clean. do i need to keep that cold as i hike around? starting the sport from scratch, appreciate any advice.
